Peru Unemployment Rate : Definition
The Peru unemployment rate represents the percentage of the active workforce actively seeking employment but unable to find it. Peru's National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) calculates this by dividing the number of unemployed persons (aged 15 and over) by the total labor force which includes both employed and unemployed individuals actively looking for work, then multiplying the result by 100.
