This rise was fueled by firm business conditions with stronger sales increasing from 13 to 16 points and profitability improving from 5 to 6 points. These components have trended upward since May, boosting confidence even as overall business conditions remained stable. Year-on-year, business confidence in September 2025 showed a 450% increase from -2 points in September 2024. Australia's record low business confidence was -68 points in March 2020 and record high was 23 points in October 2021.
