Australian consumer confidence fell to 92.1 points in October 2025, the lowest in five months. This represents a 3.5% decrease from 95.4 points in September 2025. Renewed inflation concerns and uncertainty over interest rate cuts contributed to this decline. Consumers' assessments of family finances and the economic outlook weakened. The sub-index for family finances dropped nearly 10% to 97.1. The economic outlook sub-index decreased by 2.5% to 89.9. Australia's record low consumer confidence was 75.6 points in April 2020 and record high was 118.8 points in April 2021.
