Australia Manufacturing PMI

Australia's S&P Global Manufacturing PMI fell to 49.7 in October 2025. This is down from 51.4 in September 2025, a decrease of 3.3%. This marks the lowest reading since December 2024. The contraction is due to the sharpest fall in new orders and weaker export demand. Business confidence dropped to an 11-month low because of trade uncertainties and reduced external demand. US tariffs also dampened orders. Australia's record low S&P Global Manufacturing PMI was 46.7 in September 2024 and record high was 53.8 in August 2022.
