Norway's core inflation rate dropped to 3.0% in September 2025. This is the lowest rate in four months, down from 3.1% in August 2025. This decline aligns with Norges Bank's forecast of 3.2% for September. The central bank had previously noted less economic slack since June, suggesting inflation could persist. However, core inflation had remained steady at 3.1% from June through August. Norway's record low core inflation was -0.1% in February 2004 and record high was 7.0% in June 2023.
