Norway Housing Starts
Norway's housing starts fell to 1,542 units in September 2025, a four-month low. This represents a 12.4% decrease from August 2025, when starts were 1,761 units. The decline is attributed to high interest rates with Norges Bank holding the policy rate at 4.25% due to inflation concerns. High construction costs also hinder new housing starts. Norway's record low housing starts was 779 units in December 2024 and record high was 3,692 units in June 2017.
