Norway Manufacturing PMI
Norway's Manufacturing PMI rose to 49.9 in September 2025 from 49.6 in August 2025, a 0.6% increase. The production index improved to 52.2 from 52.0. New orders decreased to 49.5 from 50.1 with both domestic and export orders falling. The employment index significantly increased to 47.3 from 42.8. Input prices continued to rise with the input price index at 59.6. Despite declining new orders, the rise in the employment index indicates a less severe contraction in manufacturing. Norway's record low Manufacturing PMI was 40.74 in March 2020 and record high was 63.92 in July 2017.

Norway Manufacturing PMI : Definition
The Norway Manufacturing PMI is a composite index measuring the health of the manufacturing sector. It is calculated from survey data on new orders, output, employment, supplier delivery times and stocks of purchases. A reading above 50 indicates expansion while a reading below 50 signals contraction in the sector.
