Colombia Balance of Trade
Colombia's trade deficit narrowed by 2% to $2.01 billion in August 2025 from $2.05 billion in July 2025. This decline resulted from a 49.3% increase in agricultural, food and beverage exports which reached $1.27 billion. However, fuel and extractive product exports fell by 18.1% to $1.41 billion and manufactured exports decreased by 11.3% to $845 million. Imports grew by 5.7% to $5.85 billion, primarily due to an 11.5% rise in manufactured goods imports. Colombia's record low balance of trade was -$2.91 billion in August 2022 and record high was $0.38 billion in December 2017.

Colombia's balance of trade shows the difference between the value of goods and services exported and imported, measured in USD. A positive balance indicates a trade surplus exports exceed imports. A negative balance shows a trade deficit imports exceed exports.
