Colombia Core Inflation Rate
Colombia's core inflation rate increased to 5.3% in September 2025, up from 5.29% in August 2025. This marks the highest rate in five months. The rise was driven by increased prices for housing rentals, public utilities, services and education. Rebounding public utility prices and higher education costs were key factors. Colombia's record low core inflation was 1.67% in March 2021 and its record high was 12.41% in March 2023.

Colombia's core inflation rate measures price changes excluding volatile items like food and energy. It is calculated by the Banco de la República using the national Consumer Price Index (IPC), removing components with the most significant price fluctuations to show underlying inflation trends.
